It was nice to see so many of my cousins and extended family. Grandpa would have loved to see us together. He was 91 years old and had seen many of us just last year at his 90th birthday party. He will be missed.
We took advantage of being in my parents' home town, they were high school sweet hearts, and spent lots of time with extended family. Ethan loved seeing the horse and cows on great grandpa's farm. He learned where milk comes from and how to ride a 4-wheeler from his "Papa." We helped my Grandpa Q. harvest the last of his garden. Ethan was a great potato collector and can't wait to eat some of the little reds. It was great to have my parents, 2 brothers and 2 of my sisters come. (We missed you Emily.)
Ethan was spoiled with love and lots of fun cousins, uncles and aunts, and grandparents to play with. The kids loved playing together and even got to have a bath together.
We took over my grandpa's 2 bedroom farm house and turned it into Motel 12...there were 12 of us on the beds, couches and air mattresses. We had a ball!

Nancy's kids were so excited Ethan's birthday is coming up they threw him a surprise birthday party...cake, candles, singing and presents included. He loves his new Planet Hero-Ace and devoured the chocolate cake and ice cream. Thanks cousins for such a fun party!
The whole trip was a good reminder of how important family is and we are grateful to have such a great one! We love you!

Glad it was a good trip! What a cute birthday cake.
I'm sorry about your grandpa, it sounded like he lived an amazing life though. How fun to be on the farm :)
