Biker Dude All Grown Up

Remember this little Biker Dude?

He suddenly, right in front of our eyes has grown in to this Biker Dude...

Yep, "while he was still 4..." Ethan learned to ride a 2 wheel bike all by himself. He's been wanting to try for a few weeks, finally mom let him try. He didn't need any help at all. I helped him balance to start twice, but after that he did it ALL BY HIMSELF! I was one proud momma and he was one proud Biker Dude!

Playin' In The Patch

Aunt Amy met us at our favorite Pumpkin Patch last week.

They had so many great pumpkins. At one point we had 10 or more in our wheelbarrow.

The kids love to sit on the vintage tractors and pretend to be farmers.

It was a beautiful day for fun in the Pumpkin Patch!

Our Little All Star

We love Itty Bitty Ball! Ethan just finished Football. He had a great time and is really becoming a tough football player.

Ethan got lots of compliments from many of the coaches this year on his ability and skill. He would often say "I dominated" after a play or station.

He gets a kick out of playing with the other boys and feeling like he's part of a team.

Avery is his biggest fan and cheerleader. She often would sneak out on to the court jumping and cheering, "Go Bubba!" I can't wait to see these two in high school!

So Crafty

My family is crafty. We love to make things together. When we were in Washington my sister and I crafted with my mom and last week my sister and I crafted up a Halloween Storm.

We made super cute Jack O Lantern lanterns out of canning jars.

They turned out great...if I do say so myself.

We also wrapped beautiful purple Halloween lights around our largest pumpkins. I love my new pumpkin stand.

The kids and I will still carve a few pumpkins, but we sure look festive around here!

Monster Making

The kids and I picked up a couple of "Make Your Own Monster" shirt kits on clearance a few weeks ago and finally found shirts we wanted to use with them.

Ethan chose a baseball playing monster. We carefully cut out each piece he wanted to use and ironed them down in place. He was excited and very helpful. He wanted to do each step by himself.

Avery was a good little helper for about a minute...then she was off to play with big brother...but she loves her princess monster!

We are proud of our crafty little shirts and can't wait for laundry day so they will be clean again!

Llama Llama Red Pajama

Our neighborhood started a 4 year old playgroup. Every Thursday 6 four year old boys get together at a different house and play...every 6 weeks I get to host and this time it was the Llama Llama Red Pajama Day...Jumpstart Read For The Record.

Ethan and I planned lots of fun things for the boys to do to celebrate this great book...

We started off by having the boys all wear their pajamas, reading the book and talking about how Baby Llama got ready for bed, what he looked like and what he did in the story...

Then we made Baby Llama Sock puppets. The boys did a great job gluing all the right pieces in the right place.

We had a get ready for bed relay. Each boy on the 2 teams had to:

1. Put on a bed shirt...trickier than I thought it would be.

2. Brush their teeth and have a drink of water...
Some did a better pretend job of this than they do in real life.

3. Read a book...many of them actually looked at all the pages,
but some flipped through pretty quickly.

4. Grab a stuffed animal and climb in to bed...they had to stay in bed for 3 snores, that may have been my favorite part!

Finally, we read the book one more time acting out Baby Llama's parts with our puppets then enjoyed a llama shaped cookie treat.

We had a super time! Ethan is currently at the 4 year old playdate...can't wait to see what they do!
