Sky Spectacular

This past weekend we went to the new Sky Spectacular Kite Festival. We were lucky enough to get to go twice. We went with grandma and some of our cousins on Friday and Aunt Amy on Saturday. Unfortunately last weekend wasn't particularly windy, but that didn't stop all the kites from flying. We were able to fly Ethan's little kite and we made a kite at the festival that also flew. Ethan loved flying his kites and we now know we need to look into getting a good one for our beach trip. Some of the kites at the festival were being flown by jet ski in a little reservoir. It was fun to see the kite wranglers make them swoop, swirl and sky dive while the driver showered the crowd with waves. Ethan had to take his shoes off and dip his toes in the water a few times. The biggest kites at the festival were kept afloat with the help of 4-wheelers. I loved the fish and octopus kites, but the snorkeler was great too. I'm excited to go back next year...and hope it will be windy!
