Tangled In Fun!

Avery had been planning her Tangled Birthday for about a year. We had so much fun scouring Pinterest for lots of great party ideas. It was a super party to plan!

Any mom knows if you're going to have a Rapunzel Birthday Party you need a Rapunzel dress. So Avery got her first surprise gift the minute she got up. She was thrilled!

Our party was packed with Rapunzel inspired projects and games...

First we decorated our Rapunzel braids with flowers. I love how the braided hair crowns turned out and the flowers just made them even cuter!

Then we walked like a princess balancing a book on our head. It's a tough job for a 3 year old!





Hit Flynn in the face with a frying pan...if you've seen the movie you totally get it!



The favorite game of the day was "Get Tangled!" The kids took turns tangling each other up in streamers. Who knew a 59 cent roll of streamers could be so fun!


We painted like Rapunzel! I had a friend draw Rapunzel's tower for the girls to paint. They each took home a set of watercolors too so they could paint at home...Rapunzel loves to paint!

We had a tower inspired pinata. Ethan saw the tower project on Pinterest and was certain we could make a pinata out of it...so we did. It was a hit. I used an oatmeal container and taped lots of balloon string to the lid for the kids to pull on. One of the strings was tied on so when it was pulled the lid came open and the treats fell out. Avery was first to go and pulled her one string off, when nothing happened she pulled most of the rest of them...thankfully she didn't get the real string and I quickly taped the rest back on so everyone got a chance. Ethan had the last turn of all and had to choose between 2 strings and luckily grabbed the right one and opened up the treasure.

We had Rapunzel inspired cupcakes, bright purple with yellow braided frosting hair served in a frying pan, Rapunzle's weapon of choice, with Golden Magic Flower punch.


Avery was spoiled by her friends and got lots of great gifts! Thank you!



Finally, instead of floating lanterns the girls each got to let go of a balloon and watch it float away. I was proud of them all, everyone let their balloon go and no one cried! We sent each princess home with her braided crown hair and a Flynn Rider inspired satchel filled with watercolor paints, a coloring book, princess fruit snacks, stickers and a Pascal party blower.

Aunt Amy stayed a little while longer while Avery used her new Rapunzel hair kit to doll Amy up.





This girl was given the Royal Treatment at her birthday party! I think she even looks a lot like Rapunzel. Happy 3rd Birthday Princess!
