A Day Out With Friends

Ethan and I took our friends Mindy and Matthew out for a day of fun. We stopped at a local park for a kid's dog show. Ethan and Matty loved seeing all the dogs and climbing on the gazebo steps. Then we went to Moyle park, a local park where volunteers dressed in pioneer clothing help you work like the pioneers did. We churned butter (which we later ate on yummy bread), washed hankies on a washboard, dipped our own candle for midnight reading and played a stick game. Ethan enjoyed splashing in the wash water most. He actually did a pretty good job washing too! It was fun to pretend we were pioneers...for a little while.
After Moyle Park we stopped at a candy store outlet and picked up a few sweet treats, then stopped for a delicious milkshake. By the time we got home we'd really made a day of it. We love living in such a fun place that has so many activities for us to do and love having friends to do them with!
