Up The Canyon

Our family loves the canyon. Last week Bob's parents decided to take their trailer up the canyon and give all of us an excuse to come up for dutch oven cooking, rock climbing, watermelon eating and s'mores making! All of which are favored activities in our little family.

Ethan loved playing with cousins. They climbed up, on, and around this rock all night.



Avery devoured her piece of watermelon. She loved the fact that she got a big piece. I usually cut our watermelon up and then cut her pieces even smaller, but hey in the canyon this is how watermelon is supposed to be eaten! (Note: I had to change her clothes afterward she was SOAKED! but happy)

The marshmallows we brought to roast were a hit...they were as big as your fist. It was a challenge to roast one perfectly enough that the middle was melty and the outside was golden brown. The s'mores we made used 2 whole graham crackers and lots of chocolate...so worth it!

Can't wait for the next trip up the canyon!
