We Must Be Crazy III

August 13th was the annual Perseids Meteor Shower peak. We tried to talk a few friends in to getting up at 1AM with us to go see the shooting stars, but alas they said, "You must be crazy!" So the 4 of us climbed out of bed and drove up to a park just behind our house and set up camp to sit and watch the night sky for about an hour. Don't let the picture fool you-the kids only lasted about 10 minutes before they were asleep in the car. Bob and I watched 35-40 meteors streek across the sky before calling it quits and heading home to bed. We are already planning next year's excursion!

Sounds like fun but I don't know, Avery looks pretty wide awake. It takes a little extra effort to see something so spectacular.
