We love having the canyon nearby. There are so many wonderful things to do up our little canyon....we camped 2 nights with lots of Bob's family and made the most of it.
We took a big group of us and hiked up to Timpanongos Cave. The kids and I had never been and Bob hadn't been in years. It was a big hike for Ethan and Avery, well she made it a bigger hike for daddy. She rode on his shoulders the entire way.
When we finally made it to the top we were in for a real treat. The cave was amazing. There were lots of cool rocks formations to see.
Since this is a National Monument Ethan was able to earn his sixth JR Ranger badge.
We also got to take Uncle Bill's raft out on the lake for a spin. The kids loved it and took lots of extra turns with anyone who would take them.
We took one more hike up to some falls. I'm not sure what we were thinking taking two 3 mile hikes in less than 24 hours, but it was beautiful in the end.
One of the best parts of the weekend was all the camping food.
We had a fabulous time and are even looking at camping another weekend before the summer is over!
