Holiday Weekend

We had a great holiday weekend...Bob had to go to a meeting on Friday and was gone all day so Ethan and I spent it with friends. We took the kids to a Gymnastics Gym for free play. Ethan loved jumping on the trampoline, flopping on the mats and diving into the foam pits. He didn't stop the whole time and was definitely NOT ready to leave when time was up. He was however excited to go to Wendy's for lunch with all of our friends afterwards.

Ethan got a package in the mail from Gram and Papa. He was so excited to open it. He opened and tried about 10 pieces of candy before deciding to eat 2 suckers at once. He liked to toss the money around...I think we are going to go to Build A Bear and have a ball!

After Bob got home we went to visit Aunt Amy at the Flower Patch. She put in extra hours for Valentine's Day. Ethan loved to go visit her. He would sweep up the floor just like Papa used to and then get a balloon every time. Amy gave us some chocolate covered strawberries. Ethan loved them and ate 4 or 5! Aunt Amy also had balloons and treats delivered to the house. Ethan felt pretty special when the doorbell ring was for him! He shared a balloon and treat with our friend Ava since we were together. What a nice kid!

On Saturday Bob and I went out for ice cream...just the 2 of us. It was nice to have time to visit.

Finally on Monday we went to see Grandma and Granddad. We flew Grandma's new kite and she gave Ethan a cute football cookie which he ate with breakfast today! We then went out to lunch all together. Ethan gave Grandma a run for her money and reminded her of her young mom days trying to keep up with busy hands!

We ended the weekend with friends, strawberry shortcake, fondue and Wii playing. We had a great time and are so glad to have good friends to celebrate and play with. Ethan had such a big weekend he slept in until 8:30 this morning...and I let him!
