In The Yard
Our yard is great...it's not that big, but we sure love having a place to go outside and relax, a place to cultivate our gardening skills, and a place to take care of. This last week we've done lots of all of those things.
First we had to stain our fence. We weren't excited about all the work, but after a trip to the paint store and a quick tip from the clerk we picked up a garden sprayer and went to work. We finished the entire fence in less than 2 hours including a trip to the paint store for a couple more gallons of stain. It's amazing how much better the fence looks.
Next we didn't really work in the garden, but reaped the fruits (veggies) of our labors. We have devoured each and every green pea on the vines and are heart broken the "season" is almost over. Ethan and I check the garden every morning and again at night when Bob gets home.
There are 4 strawberries about a day away from harvesting and lots of new blossoms on our cucumbers, tomatoes, raspberries, squash, and zucchini.
Finally for our anniversary Bob and I decided to buy a patio set so we could really enjoy our yard. We love it! Ethan is thrilled there's a chair for him.
Even Avery loves to sit in the big comfy chairs. Now if it would "warm up" a little so we can stay out long enough to finish our bowl of ice cream!
