VIP Treatment

Some friends of ours treated Bob and I to the VIP treatment last weekend. They had 4 free VIP tickets to the symphony's outdoor concert. We were excited to go and thrilled when Aunt Amy agreed to come stay with the kids since we would be out late. Ethan was thrilled too.
He loves a hot date with Aunt Amy!

We started our evening with a fabulous dinner. It was kind of fancy. We had a bib lettuce wedge salad with pine nuts, shaved Asiago cheese and grilled baby carrots, tomatillo gazpacho, berries and cream, rib eye steak with a chimichurry sauce, and tres leches cake with strawberry mango puree. YUM! Bob enjoyed his cod fish taco served in a tortilla cone with spicy coleslaw too.

Then we were escorted to our reserved seats where our jackets and blankets were waiting for us. It was just minutes before the concert-down front with the wine and cheese crowd.

The symphony played many western classics...the theme song to Cowboys the movie, Turkey In The Straw and many more fun songs.

During the intermission we were served fancy desserts and more lemonade with mint leaves up on the balcony. Pretty swankie!

The final half of the concert the symphony was joined on stage by Randy Travis. Thus the western classics. I was afraid I wouldn't know any of the songs...I haven't listened to country music in a long time, but I knew every single one.

We had a great time being VIPs if even just for a night! Thanks Pania & Fili

I shot a little video during the concert...this is all I could get before a "friendly" usher showed me big sign about no flash photography...I wasn't using a flash!
