The second half of our Mileage Milestone Adventure took us to Capitol Reef. Bob and I had been many years ago and were excited to take the kids exploring!

We started our adventure with a little hike down to a waterfall. The water was rushing. I had such a tight grip on Avery's hand I think it may have turned purple. The water was beautiful.

The next day we hiked to a natural bridge. The hike was great. Ethan and Avery were both super hikers. The bridge was massive. It dwarfed us.

Along the trail was another smaller bridge and a fun place to explore. Ethan and I climbed under the bridge into an opening. Daddy and Avery joined us and climbed up on the "Havarti Cheese" pocketed walls.

We saw lots of Collared Lizards...small ones, tiny ones, bigger ones, brown ones, green ones, and ones that had lost their tails. Ethan got pretty close to catching this one, but at the last minute the little guy got away!

We took the scenic drive to the end of the park. It was amazing to drive through the slot canyon. We were down so low!

We stopped in the park at an old homestead for homemade pie and ice cream. It was a delicious little treat!

Finally we hit the Nature Discovery Center to stamp our own petroglyph postcards and try our hand at spear hunting. Ethan was a pretty good shot!

We had a fabulous family get away and can't wait for the next adventure!
