We love to go to the local park and play like the pioneers. It's become a tradition in our family to go each year with cousins...which makes it even more fun! 
The pioneers worked hard and had lots of chores. Surely there were days they had as much fun as we do doing their chores. We churned butter and ate it on tasty bread.
Washed our clothes and hung them out to dry.
Dipped candles...
And played games...
After all the fun and our picnic lunch we were off to the candy factory outlet...another tradition we quite enjoy! What outing would be complete without a little something sweet!

I bet they wished they had a candy store at the end of their journey.. Such a wonderful outing...
