On A Whim

One night we were too tired to cook dinner so we piled in the car and headed to pick up a pizza. On the way we decided it was closer and way more fun to head up the canyon with our dinner than head home so with a pile of napkins and a 2 liter of root beer we took our dinner to go.

It was fabulous. We stopped at a beautiful picnic spot right along the river and since it was a Monday night we had the place to ourselves.




The kids thought we were the coolest parents alive...they got to drink straight from the bottle.

After dinner we walked around by the river, posed for a few pictures and took in all the beauty we could before packing up for home. It didn't start out as a fancy fabulous dinner, but it sure ended up that way!
